Praveen Kakkar — 75th Republic Day is an opportunity to remember civil rights and duties

Praveen Kakkar: This week on 26th January (Republic Day) we will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the implementation of the Constitution of India. On this day India was declared a republic. But we have to remember that this is the anniversary of becoming a republic in modern terms. If we look at the ancient history of India, India is one of the oldest tribal states in the world. Two and a half thousand years ago, civilizations had not been able to germinate properly in the rest of the world. Then an old pattern of republic existed in India in the form of Chedi Republic, Licchavi Republic, Magadha Republic.
